“Never stop learning” is a quote often said, and it is absolutely true. Learning is a way of fulfilling our curious human nature and our constant need to evolve with the times.

L&D

Learning can be defined as acquiring new knowledge, understanding, or skills that will develop one’s life, and it can come in many forms, either academically, professionally, or socially. On a professional level, organisations provide opportunities for their team to upskill and build upon their existing skill sets.

As a responsible business, ATOM is always organising learning and development activities for its team as well as looking out for opportunities to support the people of Myanmar. In this modern age, learning has become more of a hybrid between traditional/conventional learning and modern/online learning. Modern learning uses the internet and hi-tech tools to enable a large array of content, convenience, and flexibility.

In order to keep up with the trends, everyone needs to equip themselves with the right tools to progress in their professional careers. ATOM supports the needs of the Myanmar youth and encourages them to hone their skills and better prepare them for their future. Such activity is the Technology Trainee Program (TTP), where selected youth candidates from IT and tech backgrounds will undergo a one-year certified program to make them industry-ready.

The Technology Trainee Program is the first of many initiatives planned by ATOM in order to contribute to the local community, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to “Offer MORE of care, trust, solidarity, and technology edge of a world-class telecom operator, while striving for advancement, cultural relevance, sustainability, and social impact.”

Internally, we also encourage our employees to learn new things to remain as the best place to work. ATOM regularly runs learning initiatives to foster good study habits. In partnership with LinkedIn Learning, our “ Learning Day” event was recently organised to provide a learning experience that will enhance the team’s competencies in order to better serve the community with the most innovative and best products and services. ATOM has allocated 40 annual learning hours for each employee with the purpose to level up the abilities of our employees so they are future-proof and commitment-focused.

Learning is a self-investment and everyone should have the access to enhance their knowledge and be given the chance to develop their skills to better shape themselves for the future. Once again, never stop learning and growing. Equip yourself with the right tools to go #BeyondBetter.
